How to give administration permissions that work fro just specified project?

Vaghanisha Lack January 29, 2012

I would like to give administaration rights to to a group jira-xxx but these administarion right should apply just in category xxx for peojects xxa, xxb, xxxc and xxd.

Basically I want tham to administrate just projec that they are allowed to see in their group.

But if I give them administrative premissions via global premissions then they will be able to administrate all projects!!!-And that's NOT what we want.

How to give them admin righte just for one category that holds 4 projects?

I want them to be ablt to change their notificaions and add new custom fields.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance

Jira doesn't support that. A system administrator can do everything with notifications, custom fields and workflows etc (there's two level of system admin, but both levels can do anything to projects)

Have a look at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-3156 for the request and some hints
