We have Cloud Jira and Cloud Service Management. The problem that we are encountering is that Portal accounts from Cloud Service Management are showing in the Custom field - User picker list in our Cloud Jira projects. We want to be able screen out and show only licensed Jira accounts in the user picker list.
We can do this for assignee field based on project permissions but cannot enforce this for custom fields with user pickers as they are not covered in project permissions.
The problem is that people who do not have access to Jira are getting selected for the custom user picker fields and this then causes problems as we have set rules and actions for these users which portal account holders don't have rights to.
The best solution is to somehow filter the user picker list to exclude portal users who are not licensed in Jira. I just don't see how to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.
You can control the users showing up in the user picker list by enabling user filtering, just go to Settings > Issues > Custom fields and locate the field and then click the three-dot menu and select Contexts and default values and you should see that option.
