I'm using a URL to generate support issues via the format https://[jira-account].atlassian.net/secure/CreateIssueDetails!init.jspa?pid=[ID]&issuetype=[type]
The problem is that the form ends up having a bunch of extra fields that aren't necessary, and the non-technical people who are to be filling out this form may be intimidated when they see a huge page of empty fields.
If I go into an existing ticket of the same issue type, I can configure those fields, and the changes are applied to the standard JIRA issue screen, but not to this issue-by-URL page.
Is there a way I can hide the unnecessary fields?
Hi Brian,
This way of creating uses 'old' create issue experience and has specific limitations. As Atlassian has recently rolled out a new way to manage intake in Jira, I would suggest checking out the following announcement article: A new way to manage intake in Jira
Cheers,
Tom
