How to import rally xml backup file to JIRA?

I have seen that CSV is recommended but when you have XML backup file  , how that can be imported?

Hi Joe,

You asked about an XML backup.  Are you referring to an XML backup of JIRA?

If so you can restore the XML backup using the information in Restoring data from an xml backup:

1. Disable email sending/receiving

2. Restore the XML data

3. Restore the attachments

If you're not talking about an XML backup for JIRA you will need to import via CSV as you do not import external issue tracker data via XML backup.

Thank Branden..  I will have client send me CSV file  since that only seem to work best
