There are few projects that are unused. Want them inactivated and not deleted. How do i do it?

I usually do the following to 'Archive' projects:

  1. Create a new permission scheme, where only jira-administrators are listed against each permission.
  2. Associate this permission scheme with the project to archive.  Standard users will not be able to see the project any more.
  3. Rename the project to something like "zzARCHIVE - <name>".

or, if there is little chance of the project being needed in future, then simply take a full system backup and then delete the project.  If it needs to be brought back in the future, then the project can be imported from the backup.

Hi @Sudhasini

Congratulation on your first post on Community!

I think you can take a look on this page and learn more about all options on archiving a project
