Hey there,
I want to create 3 issues when I start a new sprint.
I've managed to do that with automations:
I would love to insert the name of the started sprint into the summary of these issues.
I tried something like "{{sprint.name}} XXX" but the resulting summary is just "XXX".
What am I missing?
Hi everyone,
I found the problem. It worked as designed/wished.
I had the problem to test the behaviour, since there is a big difference between the two cases: "a real sprint is started, run task abc" and "run task xyz".
So as I started a sprint, the tasks are named accordingly.
My problem was that it didn't work, when I didn't really start the relating sprint.
Hi @Till
What problem are you trying to solve? That is, why do this? Knowing that will help the community to offer better suggestions.
Until we know that...
Are these new issues added to the sprint which just started, and so already linked to it?
If not, what is the purpose of these newly created issues relative to the sprint which started?
Are the new issues created in the same project as the sprint which is starting?
Kind regards,
Bill

Hello @Till -
Please log {{sprint.name}} before you create issues.
I just tested and if your trigger is Sprint started, {{sprint.name}} does give you the name and I was able to create issue with summary.
so it should work, maybe also share screenshot of details where you are creating issue.
