Is this proccess going to be the same if I have an existing Jira OnDemand instance and want to add Confluence?
Can I have a Confluence instance that is not on the same instance as Jira and have them linked?

Hi Tom,
If you start with a JIRA OnDemand account, you can add Confluence at anytime through your my.atlassian.com account.
Fraid it isn't possible to link JIRA <-> Confluence unless they are on the same instance of OnDemand.

Simon, I currently have JIRA OnDemand (100 user) and want to add Confluence (15 user). Is that possible? If so, how?
When I try to add Confluence, I'm asked for multiple details related to servers, but since I'm using JIRA OnDemand, I don't have the details.

Hi Giovanni,
There is currently a known OnDemand technical limitation that prevents customers from adding JIRA to a Confluence only OnDemand instance:
http://www.atlassian.com/licensing/ondemand#managingatlassianondemandsubscription-6
In order to utilize a JIRA+Confluence OnDemand instance, you would have to file a support ticket requesting a backup of your existing Confluence data to then import into a new JIRA+Confluence OnDemand instance. If you have never used our support services before, you will need to sign up first.
Please contact us once you've succesfully extracted your existing Confluence data so that we may completely delete your old Confluence only OnDemand instance to free up the account name. This will allow for you to sign up with the same URL you are currently using.
I understand this work-around can be a bit confusing so please feel free to contact us via phone should you want to talk through it.
