How to keep expand element when cloning a ticket?

Jannis Hamann July 19, 2022

Hi there,

whenever I clone a Jira ticket with an expand element in it, the expand element is removed and its header and content added to the ticket instead.

This makes the cloned ticket very long, as I am using the expand elements to create a better overview in the ticket.

To me it sounds like a bug, that the expand element is simply removed. Do you know how to report that? Or alternatively how to make sure that expand elements are kept during cloning a ticket?

Thank you!

Hello @Jannis Hamann

Thank you for reaching out.

Indeed, there are some elements that are not copied when cloning an issue in Jira Cloud, including the expand feature. This is not a bug, but a missing functionality in Jira.

We created the following feature request to consider its implementation in the future releases of Jira Cloud:

Support coping Emoji, Date, Status, Expand in description when cloning an issue
