How to know how many projects are sharing one particular issue type

There is an issue type I would like to know how many projects are sharing  that issue type

hi @Chaitanya B and welcome to the community,

one way that comes to my mind would be to check this in "issue type schemes". This view will show you 

• which issue types are associated in which issue type scheme(s)
• to which projects are these issue type scheme(s) associated (--> this will then answer your question)

To see this you need to have admin permission:

• choose the settings button (right top corner)
• choose "Issues" --> administration screen opens
• choose "issue type scheme"
  • you will see now all issue type schemes and to which projects they are associated
