Hi,
we schedule Stories, Bugs and Features to a single Release at a time.
That is, while we do have several releases running in parallel, any items is only scheduled to one of them.
Jira has Fix Versions as a multivalue field and I do not see the way to change this.
Instead I see old posts on the subject here, all explaining how to write code for validating conditions upon transitions or use the transition validators to limit the field to a single value.
While this might work as a workaround, this also means I've got to add this validator to every existing transition in the workflow. That for the simples flow with 4 states and free movements from any state to any other is already more than a dozen.
How do you go about this?
Thank you,
Inna
I understand this is another one of the basics items that are not going to be implemented.
Hi @Inna S it looks like this is still a suggestion in the Jira backlog here and there are no immediate plans to put this suggestion on their near term roadmap. You can vote on the issue though and if they get enough votes maybe they will implement it at some point. There are also some other suggestions in the comments that you could try.

Thank you, @Summer Hogan . That would be another suggestion they are gathering interest for 14 years now. Not very encouraging.
