Hi,
Our teams use Bamboo to monitor changes on our repo's.
By including the issue key in the GIT commits, bamboo can link changes to JIRA issues.
We also use Bamboo to release a build to an environment (manually).
Bamboo detects which changes are on the MAINLINE and can derive which PBIs (JIRA issues) are part of that release.
But when a defect is discovered, we want to use the 'Affects version(s)' field in JIRA to link the bug to a release. But this field only accepts 'JIRA versions'.
Does anyone have a solution that doesn't involve manually copying the bamboo release information into JIRA (version n° & included PBIs) ?
I have found this article, but that seems to mean manually managing the releases in JIRA (hence loosing the auto detection of PBIs by Bamboo).
Thx for your idea's & solutions,
Olivier
