How to make the Default dashboard private

nojansen June 14, 2022

Jira Cloud has a default dashboard which you cannot delete. See https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/configuring-the-default-dashboard-1097176719.html.

The problem is that the dashboard is set to viewers "public". If I navigate to this URL in an incognito browser tab, I can see the dashboard, although it is empty.

It would be a lot better if we could make this dashboard private / for my organization only.

Is this possible?

Hi @nojansen ,

As per my knowledge, you can't make the system dashboard as private.  By default it will come as public, but no information is visible to users who aren't logged in.

If you want, jira admins can remove or add gadget from the dashboard.

Thanks, I removed all the Gadgets.
