How to make validator with comment field work

I am editing a workflow and need to make in the transitions the user is forced to put some words in the comment field but even using the mandatory field validator selecting as field the comment field can not make the transition even the field containing value

Hello @Paulo Henrique Inacio,

maybe try to add a screen to your transition and put there Comment field and make it mandatory. Did you try to do it that way?
