How to migrate single jira server to jira datacenter?

Mai Saleh July 10, 2020

We have in place single production jira server and plan to migrate to DC.

What I have in mind is:

-  Install loadbalancer

- Install DB same as the one on single server and load the dump of the old DB to new DB server

- Install the nodes

- Make sure all nodes access nfs shared home

- Copy home of the single node and replace the shared folder of the empty DC with the one from the production server

Will the above work?

It's pretty much the same as Confluence.  See https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Migrate-single-Confluence-server-to-DC-cluster/qaq-p/1429191 although you'll want the equivalent docs for Jira.
