I have a custom "Multi User Select" field (Distribution List) which lists users that can be added to the distribution list for a particular item. If an item is created, and later the reporter edits the item and selects users from this list to be added to the distribution list, those selected are not notified. It seems as if JIRA does not consider this an update event.
The notification scheme for the project has 'User Custom Field Value(Distribution List)' to be notified on the 'Item Updated' event.
I would appreciate any help on how to get this to work.
