How to only see the CHANGES in field content (multi user field) notification in Jira Cloud

When still on hosted Jira, if someone updated a multi user field, only the CHANGES were notified out to those watching the issue. On Jira Cloud, if someone updates a multi user field, the notification has the "what it was" value and the "what it is" value showing EVERY NAME in the message.

For example, there is a case where there are 26 names in a multi user field (there is a... reason... for a field with that many humans in it). If someone removes or adds ONE name to that field the OLD value is 26 names long. The NEW value is 25 or 27 names long. Some people want to KNOW what changed there and finding that one name that changed is tedious.

Am I missing a configuration to make this notification useful again? It is largely useless right now.
