How to organize board view with workflow?

I have a workflow with the following stages and transitions (->): 

A -> B -> C -> D

This works perfectly, issues move in that order, but when I get Board view mode, what I see is:

A - C - B - D

Transitions work as in the workflow, an issue in A must go to B then C and then D. The problem I have is that the board view is showing C as if it was the "second" stage. Is there a way to fix this? Why is this happening?

This depends on if it is a...

• Company-managed, or Team-managed Project and...
• Work Management, or Software Project

You can clarify what Project types you have by looking on the left-hand menu...

• Just below the Project name it will clarify if it's Software or Business (Work Management)
• In the bottom-left, it will confirm if it's Company-managed or Team-managed

Work Management...

For either Company-managed or Team-managed Projects, you should be able to...

1. Hover over a column's status header, and click/hold
2. Drag it into the right position

Team-managed, Software...

The instructions for this are the same as above...

1. Hover over a column's header, and click/hold
2. Drag it into the right position

The main difference is the header isn't a Status (with a colour) - it's just a word, even though it represents a Status

Company-managed, Software...

This differs to the other Project types. You'll need to be Board Admin, and then...

1. Go to options (3-dots icon in top-right corner) > Board Settings
2. Select Columns from the left-hand menu
3. Drag the Columns into the appropriate order, or move Statuses between them

Please correct me if I misunderstood your post.

You can drag the column left or right and the board will be seen as you want. It is not automatically created by the workflow order, first initial status, last the final status and in between the other statuses.
