In my new JIRA deployment, when the last subtask is moved to DONE, the user gets a dialog that asks:
All sub-tasks for parent issue ZZ-25 are now Done.
Do you want to update this parent issue to match?
The Product Owners don't want this to show up. They want to be the ones to move Stories to DONE.
Is there a way to turn this off? I can't find a mention of it in the documentation.
As noted below by Tom Corcoran , it is not possible. Too bad. Need an enhancement request.

This was answered by Atlassian in the similar query: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/156616/suppress-update-parent-issue-pop-up
I have to question how it was designed with no option to turn off as in a lot of teams only the PO can close the story.
