Someone deleted a story that had subtasks attached, but did not delete the subtasks first. We believe the subtasks are floating around in limbo somewhere since they were not deleted because JIRA is still recognizing them in an automation set to move issues to To Do that are in ‘Backlog’. We have the ticket numbers but filter searches are not able to actually bring it up. How do well find these subtasks so they can get deleted?
Hi @KillyDream
Usually Jira prevent removing an issue if there are sub-tasks but I have seen sub-tasks without parent associated, so who know maybe there is a way to do it.
Which Jira are you using? Cloud or OnPrem (Server/Data Center)?
You might want to check those KB articles
