Hello,

I am using JIRA on the cloud. I tried to follow some of the very many different official tutorial for different JIRA versions to restrict access to just one project to one of my clients. This process, as you all probably know, is extremely complicated in JIRA and obviously because of my lack of expertise in Jira, I managed to restrict access to that only project but to all users... including me. So we can't access the rest of the projects.

I have no idea how to go back to previous situation where all users have access to all projects. Any idea or tutorial on how to achive this? I have spent some hours trying to navigate through menus JIRA, Site Administration, Settings... but I can't find where to solve such a simple thing. I am pretty desperate.

Thanks for any help,

Ignacio

Hello,

If you are a Jira Administrator, you should click the three lines icon -> Jira -> Projects. You will see there all projects. You can enter to every project and change back the permisson scheme.

Hi @Ignacio de Córdoba,

Tough situation, I think you changed a permission scheme that was associated to all projects.

You must think of permission schemes as a list of people allowed inside the club, in Jira, multiple clubs can use the same list, so you don't have to do re-work every time a new customer is in town.

To achieve what you want, you need to create a new permission scheme (list) or you might copy the current one and edit the copy and associate it to this project in specific you want to restrict, this is the documentation explaining how to change Permission Scheme association on projects.

Use Alexey's instructions to get to your project's settings, there you will be able to switch or edit again the Permission Scheme, another place to do that, which is the main place for such configurations is to go to the Settings > Issues > Permission Schemes to make the changes, this is where you organize the Clubs' lists.

Use this URL, just change it to match your instance's domain:
