How to remove the double line spacing when pasting into Jira 7.7.0

When pasting into Jira description the formatting becomes double line spacing - why and how to solve ? I have seen many posts about this but all of them are old ones so I am hoping there is now a workaround. Thanks

Hi Katie,

I tested with JIRA 7.7 release and do not observe double line spacing.

Do you observe the same behaviour for both Visual and Text mode?

If you select all the text and change to paragraph style, does the context remains in double line spacing?
