How to remove the word 'Transition To' while changing statuses in a JIRA ticket?

Hi All,

While changing the status in JIRA for a particular ticket, it keeps showing me this word 'Transition To. Can someone please guide how do I remove this word 'Transition To'? 

Please note that I have customized my workflow in which all transitions do not flow to all statuses.

The text that appears on the left should be the name of the transition.

Can you review the workflow for the issue type you are viewing in that screen. Look at the names that show on the transition arrows between Backlog and Blocked and between Backlog and Done.

If it appears that those transitions have specific names can you provide us with screen images showing the workflow and the transition names?

Hi @Trudy Claspill , I have attached the image of my workflow, the highlighted one's are the transition labels. I just would like to remove the word 'Transition to' while trying to change a ticket's status. Is it possible? Please note that this is a customized workflow wherein all the transitions do not flow to all the statuses.

In the image where you have shown the "Transition to" text, that text is specifically show for the transitions to "Done" and to "Blocked".

In the workflow diagram you provided I see that all statuses can transition to "Done". And I don't see "Blocked" as a status in the digram at all. Are you sure you provided the correct diagram? What do you get when you click the View Workflow option in the same pop-up where the "Transition to" text is shown?

Blocked is not seen because I removed it from the workflow diagram. 

From the diagram below, I just want actual statuses to be seen i.e. Blocked, In Review, Done. I do not want the transition labels to be seen such as Transition To, In Review.

"Transition to " will appear when you have a global transition in your workflow (All) 

You can replace this text if you click on that transition link, then edit and type in what you want it to say for the users when interacting with the issue.

Adding to what @Trudy Claspill said, it is the name of the transition you see. For example, for my In Progress ---> Done transition, I have named it as Progressing

When I transition any issue from In Progress to Done, I see the same in the issue view as well:

From your initial question, I see that you want to remove the 'Transition To' phrase. Removing the phrase entirely might not be possible, instead, you can use a relevant transition name so that it is more user friendly. You can use the name of the status as the name of the transition itself.

Thank you for your responses. Noted and understood that the phrase 'Transition to' cannot be removed and can be replaced with a desirable text.

One last note, though it doesn't solve your requirement.

In a workflow where all statuses are allowed to transition to all statuses, then the "Transition To" text doesn't display. No transition names display; just the available statuses.
