We have an external consultant working with us on a project and will be added as a Service Desk agent. We have setup few custom fields which internal team (permanent staff) need to update.
Is there a way we can restrict the fields (regardless whether they are populated or not) for a particular agent?

There are some add-ons solution for server version. But, as I know, you can't hide customfield from specific users on Jira Cloud.
*If you want to make field visible for all agents but restrict only the edit permission, you can do it.
