Hi CV,
The Contains Text field will only search for text in the Summary, Description and Comments of the tickets.
If you don't have your Issue Key mentioned in one of these fields, it won't return your ticket.
You could simply use the quick search field at the top-right corner to search directly for an issue key.
Why do you need to use the contains text?
Hi Marcus,
Thanks for your prompt response, We would like to use one serach field for everything. but seems like JIRA has 2 different search fields which is confusing.
and Quick search doesn't serach the text in Summary, Description and Comments of the tickets.
Please let me know if there is any work around??

Hi,
For me, I want to search for a text included in a teststep (tescase). It very usefull when we have to update a testcase.
