How to see JIRA project status in estimates?

Hello,

Is there a way to report the status of a project considering estimates? For example, total number of story points in resolved/closed issues vs. total number of story points in open/in progress issues, shown as a pie chart. I can only create a pie chart reporting the results of a given query and use issue status as a statistic type. But I don't know how to see estimates instead of number of issues. Has anyone got an idea?

I think it is pretty easy to do with SQL for JIRA for the calculations and SQL for JIRA Reports & Charts (BIRT) for the pie chart
