How to see the parent of a subtask or task in a Business project

In a business project, we use 2 levels of nesting Epic -> Task -> Sub-task

I can see the parent in the breadcrumb nav in the top of the card and I can change it by clicking three dots - change parent.

Is there a way to have the parent as a field on the right side - both easily visible and editable on one place? I see no option to add "parent" field when I click on Configure.

Unfortunately, you can't make changes like that for Jira Work Management (Business) boards. Hopefully, they will add that functionality in the future. You should click on the Give Feeback link on the bottom left side of the problem and let them know your request.

what you might consider copying the parent issuekey into a custom field 'Parentkey'. I have not attempted but Automation may get you there. If not a scripting addon like Scriptrunner would. I think there are existing posts about this in the Community.
