Hello all,

I work in a bank and we had been using Waterfall project management methodology in which project plans and schedules are either created in MS Project or Excel. Using both, its easy to send a file to a compliance monitoring committee for audit or miscellaneous purposes. Now we use Jira and I need to send a link to my project in Jira to a PM Committee so that they can view the requirements in the form of stories. My question is, how do generate a link to my project and send it to someone else? I don't have access to Confluence or any other Atlassian software but Jira.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Max S ,

To allow access for them you would need to create Jira user accounts for each individual and set the right permissions for them. This is not ideal as those people are not always the same and would mean that your Jira admin would need to manage those accounts all time, creating, removing users, giving and withdrawing access, etc, because those would also count towards your tier user limit.

I recently talked to one of our customers, also working for a large financial firm in the US, who satisfies audit purposes and share the right Jira information to users outside of their Jira by creating custom PDF documents. That way they always present only the information requested, in a widely accepted format (PDF) without having to deal with Jira access and permissions.

You can check out how they do it here.
