How to set notification when issue change status?

Hi everyone!

I'd like to be notified when the status of the issue changes. 

e.g.: I'd like the assignee to receive an email when Issue(x) changes from "progress" to "done".

Can I do this via the notification scheme or do I have to create an automation?
if the latter, which steps should I follow?

Hi @Sara V. ,

you need to set a specific Event on the post function associated to the trasition that move issue from status A to status B. Keep in mind that you can define your own events and email template associated (https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/adding-a-custom-event-938847495.html). After doing that, your event will appear in the notification scheme and there you can setup who should be notified about event.
