How can a new task screen be set to not require Resolution field as mandatory? Thanks
Hi,
Resolution field is not expected when you create an issue. You can remove the "Resolution" field from create and edit issue screen. It can be added only to the view screen. Resolution field is usually added to the "Close" transition via transition screen, where the developer or assignee provides value for it.
You can also add a post-function in the Close transition to auto populate the value for resolution field.
Thanks for prompt reply. However, for create as type Task, it's mandatory and I can't find how to remote it.

Hi again,
Resolution is a system Field and it's always mandatory. You cannot make it optional from Configuration scheme. You need to remove it from create/edit screen and try creating a task. Try removing it and create a new task.

Hi Niranjan, I did it several times... The field does not appear when I create, only when I try to save, then it appear saying it's mandatory. Any other idea?

Hi @Edison Smejoff ,
Check if the field is added to the Edit screen. If so remove that from edit screen as well. Also check for the workflow validator of create issue transition if resolution is indicated as required.
