How to set the automation for sub task/ task’s change issue status refer to epic issue status?

Hello,

I'm not sure I fully understood your need but you can use the following process in order to change an epic status to "Done" if all of it's stories or tasks are "Done" too. This method can be adapted to complete a task when all of its subtasks are done too.

1. When : issue transitioned
2. If : issueType = Story
3. Rules for linked branch : for linked Epic
4. If all stories status is : "Done"
5. Move current issue status to : Done
