How to set up 3 level hierarchy Epics --> Features --> User Stories?

I am trying to set up a project with 3 level hierarchy, i.e, Epics, Features and User Stories. Unfortunately, I am not sure of the settings to be enabled in JIRA and can't find help document on the site either. Can anyone assist?

We attempted similar, but did not have any success.  We could certainly create the Feature issue type, but not make it part of the native hierarchy in Jira.  We looked at the Portfolio plugin, where we could create hierarchies above epic, but were not able to extend it to work between epic and story.

you might consider an addon, e.g. Structure or using Atlassian's Portfolio
