How to show stories with linked features in list liew (all the features that a story realizes)

David September 4, 2024

Dear community,

The stories in my project do all 'realize' a feature (also indicated in the dependencies).

However, when I create a list view of all stories that realize a feature and add the column 'Linked features', no feature is shown. How can I ressolve this issue?

Many thanks in advance!

Hello @David

Issues that are linked with a particular link type can be shown using the Formula column. But your setup is too unclear to recommend anything specific.

Please reach out to us directly at our support portal, and we'll have a look at the links in more detail.

Best regards,

HI @David

How are your stories linked to Features?

Is feature another issue type and you use issue links between the issues?

Are you using an app, plans (advanced roadmap)?

Can you share some configuration insights (screen shots)?

Hi Marc. For stories I use the issuetype 'Story' and for Features we use the issuetype 'Feature'. Stories are linked to features via the issue link 'realizes'. I am using Jira structure and list views. Does this help?

So by using issue link, you need to show the field Linked Issues.

In this field the linked issues are shown.

Even better would be to use the field parent, for each story you can set a parent.

You will need to first set your hierarchy, via the jira admin -> issues ->

issue-hierarchy

I know, but the field linked issues does not only show linked features, but all linked issues. Also it shows only the IDs of the linked features and not the feature names.

Hi @David

Then you should start using the parent field.
