How to show the real issue count in the issue navigator?

Jira Server shows the real issue count in the Issue Navigator. Jira Cloud only says "1000+" when there are more than 1000 results. This is incredibly annoying.

How can we display the real issue count?

Hi @Bram ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!!

There is some limitation when it comes to total issue count on the Jira Cloud in Advanced search.

Basically I have followed two method whenever i wanted to know the real count on Jira.

  1. Go to the Global Automation rule. select any trigger and In Condition select JQL and Write down you JQL and click on Find issues. It will list all the count based on JQL.
  2. To export all the issue using Google sheet or either Microsoft Excelsheet.

Note: Browser Project permission needed inorder to view the issues/count.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Mayur

That's an unacceptable limitation for a paid (and expensive) product.

Hi @Bram ,

I wasn't able to find an open suggestion/bug for this on https://jira.atlassian.com/issues/ so you might want to raise it as a support ticket to have an official response and hopefully a link to a tracked issue

Reporting a bug is a serious pain in the arse, which is ironic, given that it's Jira's core feature.
