In the Jira Software > Releases > Version page the issues are automatically sorted by priority. When we generate our release notes we structure them in ascending order of their issue ID (key).
This there any way to change the sort order used in the release page?
Clicking on the 'View in Issue Navigator' link shows the JQL contains "ORDER BY priority DESC, key ASC". It would be really helpful if we could also change the columns that are displayed in the table to include custom fields like 'Client Name' or 'Linked JSM Ticket'
The table which display in the release version page is not configurable. Its static and based on priority Asc Order.
If you want to reorder it base on other fields then you can make filter of it and reorder it as per requirement. Save that filter so that you can refer it in future as well.
Thanks
Sachin
Actually, currently it is by default sorted by "Created date"
Would be nice to have a possibility to configure that.

Sachin,
Not sure why the priority is so important in this view - surely the most intuitive thing to do is to sort by key number (i.e. PDR-XXXX in the image above). Viewing in issue navigator works - but would be nice to save that modified query to control the appearance in the Release view.
Ideally, just sort by clicking on the column headers could sort the items.
