How to stop assignee to change a custom field "reviewer"

I have a query from a project.

The "assignee" should not be able to change "reviewer".

I was thinking of maybe have a strategy on the workflow side which could compare the assignee to "currentUser()" and disable the "reviewer" custom field.

It's not possible in native Jira.
