How to stop scrolling down the LHS & RHS panels in Backlog view

In Backlog, I want to keep scrolling up and down the backlog (middle panel), without any movements in the LHS (Epics panel) or RHS panel (Details panel).

However, all 3 panels seem to be scrolling together, even if there's no content.

Steps to reproduce

1) Have a large backlog

2) Open LHS and RHS panels

3) Try to scroll down the backlog, expecting that position in the LHS/RHS remains fixed

4) Actual outcome: all 3 panels are scrolling together, which does not make sense as there's nothing but white space in LHS and RHS panels.

Testing on my local site, I wasn’t able to replicate the issue. I tested using Chrome and Firefox.

Can you please let us know what browser you are using?

Have you tested using another one?

How many tickets are there on your backlog? Then we can test here using the same amount of tickets.

According to your screenshot, you are using a team-managed project, is the issue also happening on a company-managed one?

There are some feature requests suggesting improvements for large backlogs, but it doesn’t mention scrolling:

• Improve the way the Backlog is loaded for better performance and/or rendering of a large number of items
• Backlog with more than 250 issues has room for improvements in terms of performance
