How to update Jira links to confluence pages when migrating to onprem version.

Hi,

Happy new year guys. :)

I have a question regarding the links to confluence pages in Jira.

atm we have both Jira and confluence as cloud version, but we migrate confluence to onprem version.

Is there a way to update all existing jira issues with links to confluence pages, so we don't have to do this manually ?

greetz,

Kurt

Hello Kurt,

Thank you for reaching out.

Per your description, it seems you already have issues from Jira linked to your Confluence pages, however, once you migrated your Confluence to server, you are trying to update that existing issue links in an easy way to the new Confluence pages. Is that correct?

Unfortunately, there's not an easy way to perform such update, however, we understand how useful this functionality would be, so we created the following feature request:

Confluence Links in JIRA issues should be updated automatically based on the new app link configurations

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

That being said, I believe the workaround provided in the bug above might work for you since your Confluence will not be in the same instance as Jira anymore. Please, try the steps in the documentation below (Preferably, in a new test Jira Cloud site with the restored backup file):

App links fail when copying Jira and Confluence to other environments
