How to use REST API to archive one version?

Anyone know about how to use REST API to archive one version?

I want to block one version's using , for example sometimes i don't want anyone can assign issues into one 'version'.

But, if we archive one version, the issue 's 'Fix Versions' will be null, why?

I still donnot know how to archive one version by using REST API.
