How to view description space bigger and shrink other panels and details?

I am struggling to enlarge description view in Next-Gen project. Right panel is occupying half of the screen.

I need to add lots of description details and need bigger space on my screen.

I tried to figure out if I can dragged right hand panel by hovering mouse on scroll bar but that didn't work. No view setting either I see where I have option to set my view layout.

The description field in Jira has this size when there are no text or images added. While adding the description, it will get bigger, but it's not possible to change it before that. 

As per the details of your, I believe that the option that you need is the same as the old editor, please correct me if I'm wrong. 

If that's the case, if you are using a Classic project, you can disable the new issue view on Profile picture > Personal settings > Jira labs.

Otherwise, if using a next-gen one, it's not possible to change that because the markdown editor doesn't have this option.
