How we can utilize webwork to validate the issue update request?

Hi All,

We are trying to add validations when the issue is updated in Jira. We want to know if web work can be utilized to perform the validations when the state of the issue is changed (eg: From Analysis to Implementation)

Moreover, we can check if there is any way we can utilize webwork to perform the validation during changing the value of any field (eg: when a field like assignee is left at unassigned) 

Kindly provide any suggestions for the implementation of the webwork.
