I(A) am getting alerts for a different user (B) activity, need to know how to stop it?

Suraj August 20, 2019

I am a jira user (A), My colleague is also a user (B), Whenever someone mentions B or B's task status gets changed, I(A) receives the email and push notifications. This shouldn't be happening unless B's jira account is merged with A by some manner. How can I stop the getting alerts for the different user (B) in my mailbox and users.

Hi @Suraj maybe you are in a role or group with your colleague, the jira admin can check what's going on using the notification helper.

this seems quite strange. I would check to ensure you are indeed not a watcher or somehow associated w/ the issue (reporter, etc). If you are sure that you are indeed not tied to this issue then I would contact Atlassian Support to have them log in and have a look.

I am pretty sure I am not a watcher or tied to the issue.
