I am the Jira admin but I do not want every ticket created for every project. Can you advise me the needed changes?
If you don't want to receive notification for every project then you need to make changes in the notification scheme for the project you don't want notification. and remove your self from the notification scheme for create issue action.
Also make sure you are not part for watcher of an issue and send notification create issue post function
Are you using Company Managed projects and Team Managed projects?
Notifications for Company Managed projects are based on Notifications Schemes. If you are receiving notifications each time an issue is created and that didn't used to happen, that would suggest that either
1. the Notification Schemes have been updated to change who is notified when an issue is created, or
2. You have recently been added to a user group or project role that was already in the Notification Schemes to receive notifications when issues are created.
A change to the Notification Schemes could be made only by a Jira Admin. Adding you to a User Group could have been done by a Jira Admin or by your identity access provider admins (if you have Jira set up to pick up user groups from your Directory Services). Adding you to project roles could be done by the administrators of individual projects.
I would recommend you review the Notification Schemes first. If you have more than one Notification Scheme in use you'll need to review them all. See if the Issue Created event is set to notify a group or role of which you are a member. If there are other people with Jira Admin access, ask them if they have changed the Notification Schemes.
If there was not change to the groups/roles notified by the Schemes, then you would need to investigate if you were recently added to one of those groups or roles.
