I am the lead for a Jira Project, and I wanted to post an announcement for the entire group.

How do I create and post an announcement in a Jira Project?

Can people without lead or admin privleges also post?

Jira does not have a "project announcement" type function.  As Jack says, you could do something with the global announcement if you have the right admin rights, but it will be global (it's outside the context of a project)

Hi @Mike Welcome to the Community!

only site-admins can create announcement banner. if you are in site-admin group then you can. This is for the Server instance only.

I can see you have selected the cloud tags if you are using Cloud instance then we do not have this feature with the new look & feel.

By "announcement" do you mean an announcement banner at the top of the page? That requires site-admin permissions.
