I can not attache issue type scheme to project in jira software that has scrum template

i added a new issue type , which is sub task 

I wanted to assosciate my software project which is based on Scrum template next gen project to this issue type scheme, but it is not showing there

There currently is no way to associate a Next-gen project with other project settings, schemes, global configuration objects.

Next-gen projects works independently and you need to setup issue types with in the Next-gen project.
