I can't enable Epic panel on Kanban board

Looking into the Atlassian Documentation (https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/configuring-columns-764477997.html#Configuringcolumns-enablingkanbanbacklog) I noticed you can enable the Epic panel for Kanban board. On the mentioned page it states you enable it in the board configuration on the 'column' tab.

However, I don't have that option on this tab (see image).

Are you JIRA Cloud or JIRA Server? And if JIRA Server, what version are you on? From what I have found so far, the Epics option is only available on JIRA Cloud.
