I can't put the done story back to in progress

• My problem is that in my project I have 4 Scrum boards and everything was working fine, I had to edit the workflow of the project, And nowYes, I just noticed that I only can move tasks not stories, I was able to move them before editing the workflow.

It says:

[ You can't move this issue to this column due workflow configurations or permissions]

Note: I have the Jira administrator permission.

Are you able to open the story and change the status from done to 'in progress'?

If not, then the workflow doesnt have a flow path back to inprogress. Please check

 I find that I can't make any transitions from Done to in progress, for tasks and stories and bugs. It says

[You cannot perform this operation on a draft workflow.]

I just for somehow Reuse a transition and made it from Done to In progress in the workflow, But in the board nothing changed I still face same issue where I can't move it back to in progress.

When I try to publish it it says:

You are editing a draft workflow. The step 'Done' has no outgoing transitions in the Active workflow, so you cannot add any outgoing transitions in the Draft workflow.

In that case, i recommend you to create a copy of the workflow (say workflowName_v2) , implement the changes and then apply it to the project.

Hi @Raghad AlRoumi Are all statuses mapped to the correct column in your board configuration? Does that board use the same workflow as the board where you can move the Story back from Done to In Progress?

Yes, I just noticed that I only can move tasks not stories, I was able to move them before editing the workflow.

Are stories using a different workflow than tasks?

I actually didn't change anything related to the tasks workflow but for stories I only added more steps Before Done statues.

You need to have common or global transitions from the Done status to the In Progress status for the workflow associated with issue type Story.

Could you share a screenshot of your workflow configuration?

Are you working in a team-managed or company-managed project?
