Hello,
If I correctly understood it. I created 2 different projects so I can share the tickets to another project. It's working on Backlog and Active Sprints -- but it's not showing in the timeline and I have to click on the Create Plan to have a board that will contain these items. It's not convenient or not a user friendly that every time that I need the timeline, I still have to search for the plan and open it.
I wonder if you already have the functionality where the active sprints will be activated and at the same time will provide an accurate Reporting.
Thanks,
Hi @Marivi Almazan and welcome to the Community!
Your observation is correct: the basic timeline that comes with a board only works for a single project. If you set up a board from a board filter with multiple projects, you need an advanced timeline to visualise the timeline. In that case, it is best that you disable the timeline from board settings > timeline, so you don't navigate to a page saying that the timeline is not there.
Note that you can add a custom shortcut to your project navigation on the left hand side to your advanced plan. Although it will not be located in the exact same place as the basic timeline, it will allow your users to easily access the (advanced) timeline.
If you create a plan and associate a team with your board, sprints will be displayed in the timeline in your advanced timeline as well.
Hope this helps!
Thank you Walter and for welcoming me. I will try your suggestion and will see if it works for me. It just weird though that you have it in your active sprints and board but cannot reflect in Timeline when supposedly the logic should be the same :) Why they made it complex when it can be simplified :) (UX)
