I enabled our AD directory and didn't want to have a duplicated user, so I created a generic Jira Admin user and deleted the first user in Jira (during setup). I followed the transfer to new user.
However now I am trying to setup OAuth and do not see the tab. During that time, I noticed the user is a Jira Administrator, but not a Jira System Administrator.
Can I manually add the role on the backend through the DB? If so what are the steps. Using MySQL.
Hi @Ralph Perez
I believe you can use Jira in recovery mode to set a temporary admin password so you can create a new user with sys admin permissions.
You may use this https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/restore-passwords-to-recover-admin-user-rights-972329273.html Kb as a reference.
Hope it helps.
