Hi @Amit Bisht

No, you can't unless you have a backup. You could restore that into free tier instance, than export the information and import it into your main instance by csv, updating the existing issues.

Or reach out to Atlassian Support and they might help you out, spinning up a temp instance, as they should have a snapshot of your instance.

Deleting a custom field in Jira Cloud is a two step process.

First you move it to the Trash bin.

Then you can proactively force the deletion, or you can wait for it to be automatically fully deleted after 60 days.

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/edit-or-delete-a-custom-field/#Move-custom-fields-to-the-trash-before-permanently-deleting-them-from-your-Jira-site

If the custom field is still in the Trash you can recover it and the data will be restored.

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/edit-or-delete-a-custom-field/#Restore-trashed-custom-fields

If the field is no longer in the Trash then the field and its data has been permanently deleted. Then you would need to consider @Marc - Devoteam 's response.

Hi @Amit Bisht

In the scenario you have either emptied the trash bin or 60 days have past by. The only other option left would be to go back to the backup copy of your data as @Trudy Claspill & @Marc - Devoteam have called out.

Assuming you have a copy of your backup, the next challenge would be to restore the backup in separate site <-- This is key, as your backup gets you all or nothing. If you try to restore it to the original site it will overwrite your current site with the data as it existed on the day you took your backup.

If you have not taken a backup of your data, I am not sure Atlassian is going to help you in this scenario as they clearly tell you as part of the shared responsibility model you have to backup your data - reference their trust site for more info

Lastly I am part of Revyz we help Atlassian cloud customers to automate backups and provide a system for granular restore of issues or configuration as in yoru case.

In addition to that we also help customers copy configuration from sandbox to production etc.. you can learn more here

Thanks

Vish
