My CEO wants to get a report about every developer's work. It should include time that was spent by one developer on all his tasks during a month. Please tell me how do i get this report
While JIRA provide the ability to log time, it does not include a built in tool for reporting on time. You will have to get an add-on/app for your JIRA instance to get that report, if you don't already have one.
We use worklogs - time tracking and reports , which is supported for JIRA Cloud, Server, and Data Center.
Hi @Vladislav
You can also measure how much time a developer spent on an issue until it's resolved and how much time spent in each status using Enhancer Plugin for Jira .
Enhancer plugin has a custom field called Time Between field that shows the duration between statuses and dates that you specified. You can add this field to issue search to get detailed reports on each developer by exporting a search result.
It also has other custom fields that can help you with reporting and measuring Time spent on tasks such as Time in status which calculates the time spent in each status by assignee so that your manager can analyze the work done by developers better:
Let me know if you have any questions.

Gökçe

First your CEO needs something better to do. LOL ;-)
I would recommend you look at an addon like - Time Reports
there are others in the marketplace for sure, this is just one that I use and meets my needs.

Hello @Vladislav
If you want to log your time you can try one of the tools from the Atlassian marketplace. For example, we use ClockWork. In case you want to calculate the time each issue was assigned to any co-worker, you can try Time in Status for Jira Cloud.
It generates time in status reports for each assignee or assignee time report - the total time user has spent on each task.
Also, it shows data both in Charts and Gadget view.
I hope it helps
Best regards, Mariana.

Hi @Vladislav ,
As alternative you can try below apps.
Status Time: It provides various reports. One of them is assignee time. It also takes into account your working hours. That is, once you define your working hours and holidays into the app, then assignee time for a ticket created on Friday at 5 PM and closed on Monday at 9 AM, will be reported as a few hours rather then 3 days. You can check the online demo and see it in action.
Status Time Free : Limited but free version of the above.
